The new 2018 Mustang GT can reach 60 mph in four seconds - or less - in the Drag Strip mode, the fastest GT ever. The new GT even beats the Porsche 911 Carrera thanks to its maximum acceleration in drag strip mode, improved horsepower and torque output from the new 5.0-liter V8, a 10-speed SelectShift transmission for faster and smoother shifting, and improved traction through Michelin Tire Sport 4 custom tires. The new Mustang holds at peak engine torque and horsepower to maximize the speed of 0-60 mph acceleration, it never drops.
