You don’t have to break the law to break all the rules. Ford Motor Company is pushing the limits with the industry first police pursuit-rated pickup truck. Introducing the F-150 Police Responder. Designed with the safety and power necessary for law enforcement officers, the F-150 is crafted to ensure high-performance for our high-performance officers. The police-calibrated brake system can play off the Ford select 10 speed transmission and 375 horsepower powered by the 3.5 liter EcoBoost engine. With 18-inch alloy rims and underbody skid plates this pick-up is ready for action regardless of the terrain. Not all days on the force are action-packed; the F-150 is prepared for slow Monday mornings. The engine idle-hour meter and best in-class payload and towing capacity allow for the daily grind to be that much easier. And what about the laws of style?
The extra space provided with through the largest passenger volume of any pursuit-rated vehicle is filled with luxury and technology. Heavy-duty cloth front seats with slim bolsters and anti-stab plates make for not only a sleek look, but essential comfort. Even the flooring and back seats are lined with vinyl. The high-strength steel frame helps make for a smooth ride and even when utilizing the full 240-amp alternator while handling electrical loads.
Features not enough? Take it from Stephen Tyler, Ford’s police brand marketing manager. Tyler explains, “Ford’s 2018 F-150 Police Responder is the perfect all-terrain law enforcement vehicle,” Tyler brags. “Aside from its industry-first on-road pursuit capability, this purpose-built pickup can comfortably seat five, while providing capability in off-road patrol situations for officers in rural environments patrolled by sheriff’s departments, border patrol operations and the Department of Natural Resources.”
With the endless features and proper praise, the F-150 will be turning heads on the highway all while keeping the roads safe. It’s only proper that the best motor company in the business supplies for the best officers in town.
