Ford is the unquestioned king of trucks, and this year marks its 45th year in a row as the best-selling truck brand. This is in addition to the fact that the full F-series line of trucks has been the best-selling vehicle across all types and classes in the United States. The F-series is the pickup truck with the longest heritage, and its heritage is one that deserves to be celebrated through all the exceptional growth and evolution.
The all-new 2021 F-150 was sent to dealerships the past year equipped with a host of fantastic features that are at the forefront of innovation. Some features included in this list are an onboard generator as well as an available hybrid drivetrain. Even amidst an industry-wide and worldwide microchip shortage, Ford was able to make up the distance and remain on top. Countless automakers were forced to slow or pause factories due to a huge scarcity in crucial parts. Ford, however, was able to sell more than 172,000 trucks between July and September, which is nearly 50,000 more sales than either of its top rivals.
Ford has remained strong through all of the uncertainty we have faced in past years and is only further fortifying its performance with the upcoming stable full of electric trucks set to enter the race for full-size truck supremacy. Ford’s new 2022 F-150 Lightning is set to steal the show, and already has taken more than 100,000 reservations for the battery-powered pickups. The completely new F-150 variant is set to have up to 300 miles of range, plenty of torque, and strong payload and towing capabilities. As an already highly capable, highly regarded, and highly successful truck, the F-150 is only furthering its future in the years to come with the latest shift to all-electric vehicles.
The new F-150 will have full access to the FordPass charging station network that will stretch across the country and into each and every corner of the United States. There are already 63,000 outlets and counting, so drivers will always be supported on the road. Furthermore, the new F-150 achieves great results; the standard-range battery results in 426 horsepower, 230 miles, and a mighty 775 lb-ft of torque, all of which will only increase in value with upgrades.
Overall, the Ford brand is one that has been trusted, well-liked, and immensely successful for quite some time, and there is little evidence that points to this fact changing any time soon.
