The Ford F-150

The Ford F-150 has been one of the best-selling, full size pickup trucks in the US for 38 years and counting. Known for its body and bed being composed of aluminum panels built on a ladder steel frame, the F-150 is tough and ready for anything. Ford is continuing to display great amounts of innovation through the newest F-150 model. Towing technology meets SYNC 3, while a Special Edition Appearance Package offers exciting new options to go further in your Ford.

New beveled vents and angular exterior shapes of the outer body accent bold LED headlights. The updated grille welcomes the F-150's presence to the road while rectangular insets provide a throwback to the earlier model. The new model will be offered with 20-inch aluminum wheels. This season two new colors will be added to the pickups color palate: Shadow Black and Lithium Gray. With a towing capacity of 12,000 pounds, this Ford is built for the long haul. Customization is key for any vehicle. Try on for size the Special Edition Package available in select trims for further personalization. Spice things up with features such as: anodized dark-painted aluminum wheels with red sport lettering, black running boards, smoked headlamps, unique body side graphics, and seats with Alcantara® inserts with red contrast stitching.

A standard 3.5 liter V-6 engine powers the pickup, putting out 283 horsepower and 255 lb-ft torque. Looking for a little more pep at the pedal? Try upgrading to the new turbocharged 2.7 liter V-6 engine. Want a vehicle that is environmentally friendly? Choose the optional 6.0 liter V-8 engine with the compressed natural gas/propane gaseous fuel prep package and help reduce operating costs and tailpipe CO2 emissions. The standard engine produces an average estimated fuel economy of 22 miles per gallon.

Look behind those rear seats to find your choice of three bed lengths: 67.1 inches, 78.9 inches, and 97.6 inches. Plenty of room for cross country travel. The all-new Pro Trailer Backup Assist makes it easier for all to back a trailer up to launch a boat or park in a driveway. The technology allows drivers to steer a trailer automatically by turning a simple knob left or right to indicate direction. The truck then controls its steering and limits vehicle speed. This type of technology has led to Ford earning five patents with ten additional patents pending. Also worth mentioning, is Ford's SYNC 3, the newest edition of the brands touch screen graphic interface, is available in the F-150. Just one more way Ford is putting innovation at your fingertips.

There is no doubt that the latest edition of America's most beloved pickup truck is better than ever. The F-150 pushes the boundaries of standardization with innovative technology sure to excite all. With so many combinations available within the F-150 lineup, the possibilities and levels of customization are endless.
