The Ford Explorer

Ford has always aimed to please. They combine reliability and luxury with practicality and personalization. With a new liftgate, new exhaust tips, five all-new wheel designs, and three new colors, the Ford Explorer is one to impress.

This year's model of the Explorer comes in five different trims: Base, Limited, Platinum, Sport, and XLT. The Explorer is available in either 2 or 4-wheel drive in the Base, XLT, and Limited models while 4-wheel drive comes standard in the Sport and Platinum trims. The standard engine is a 3.5L naturally aspirated V6 and the Sport and Platinum spoils the driver with a 3.5L EcoBoost V6. Getting a combined 20 mpg, this is the perfect family sized SUV for the road ahead.

If luxury is something you desire, choose the Explorer Platinum. It is adorned with real ash swirl wood and aluminum trim as well as Nirvana Leather on the door panels and seats and satin chrome finish throughout the cabin. The Platinum comes standard with enhanced park assist and Sony's Clear Phase and Live Acoustics making any road trip a breeze. Another perk of the Ford Explorer, is an available 180-degree camera which gives drivers more safety and visibility when maneuvering limited-sight situations.

Ford offers available voice-activated SYNC technology. The Explorer has two SYNC versions: SYNC and SYNC with MyFord touch. SYNC offers hands-free calling, phone book download, music search and control, and Charge 911 Assist. SYNC with MyFord Touch upgrades to a color-coded LCD touch screen, navigation, voice climate control, and voice-activated radio tuning, as well all of the SYNC features.

The interior of the Explorer is just as luxurious and innovative as the exterior. With adjustable pedals with memory, heated steering wheels on the Platinum model, dual second-row smart charging USB ports, auto-dimming rearview mirror, and third-row PowerFold seat in the Platinum proves that the little things in life can make all the difference.

Ford has really upgraded this season's Explorer. With all the little things making a big difference, it might just be love at first sight. Test drive one today and see for yourself.
