This year, Ford is offering more than ever before as standard in its 2021 Escape.

The 2021 Escape features a stylish cabin that matches well with its smooth-edged exterior design, providing a refined drive for compact SUV buyers. The handsomely styled cabin is spacious in both front- and rear-seats, a unique and important attribute within the compact SUV market. Behind the 2021 Escape’s rear seat sits ample cargo space, providing room for up to eight carry-on suitcases and even more if the rear seats are folded.

In addition to physical comfort, the 2021 Escape has taken mental comfort into consideration with the addition of a suite of driver-assistance features as standard on every Escape model. Earning a five-star safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and a Top Safety Pick award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), Ford’s Co-Pilot360 includes key safety features such as:

·       Standard forward-collision warning with automated emergency braking

·       Standard lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist

·       Standard blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert

You will feel in total control with this compact SUV. With four different powertrains offered, the 2021 Ford Escape gives drivers all the power they need. Initially geared with a 181-horsepower turbocharged 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine, this can be paired with either front- or all-wheel drive and offers excellent acceleration, moving an all-wheel-drive Escape SE to 60 mph in 7.7 seconds. The next powertrain option is an upgrade to the 250-horsepower turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. Scoring a 5.7-second result in the same zero-to-60-mph test, the turbo two is a compelling option. Both of these gasoline engines are paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Among these powertrains, the turbocharged 1.5-liter three-cylinder model with front-wheel drive provides the highest fuel economy estimates.

For those seeking a more efficient compact SUV, the Escape also offers two Escape hybrids. These include the optional hybrid and plug-in hybrid setups, which aim to sip fuel and provide an extra electric-powered boost when desired. These powertrains feature a 2.5-liter four-cylinder and two electric motors which combine to offer 221-horsepower. The plug-in hybrid model carries a 14.4-kWh battery pack, good for an EPA-estimated 37 miles of electric-only driving. For those seeking the most efficient Escape, look no further than the plug-in hybrid model, which earns fuel economy ratings as high as 44mpg city.

The bottom line is that Ford is offering even more to compact SUV drivers with its 2021 Escape. With four available powertrains, Co-Pilot360 safety features as standard, and smooth and luxurious interior and exterior appearances, the 2021 Escape checks all our boxes.
