A little longer and a little wider: Ford has revealed the next generation in its compact lineup. The brand new Ford Fiesta arrives with four added models which include: the ST, Active, Titanium, and Vignale. All which come with a matured, redesigned body and interior that add a premium to the the Fiesta family.
Bringing the Fiesta into the modern age, Ford brings soft-touch material to the interior and a newly articulated infotainment system with a touch screen that rids the clutter of buttons from last year’s model by about 50%. Using Ford’s SYNC 3 system the stereo can connect with Android and Apple devices. Along with the much-improved dash, practicality has increased with a much bigger glovebox, door storage, and media bin.
Keeping its sprightly and fun charm the standard, Fiesta comes available with a 1.1 liter three cylinder Ecoboost engine, married to a six-speed manual or optional automatic transmission, an odd pairing to say the least, that can get you an average of 35 mpg and up to 41 mpg on your saintly days. With improved braking distances, better steering, and sharper cornering, Ford claims the driving experience is on a different level than the previous incarnation.

The ST and Titanium models add a tempting choice for those who crave a faster, sportier package. With its more aggressive exterior styling, including its hexagon-style grille and titanium alloy wheels—the Fiesta fits the bill. The pedals carry the same styling inside matching the alloy on the wheels, along with the flat-bottomed steering wheel and sports seating, they add to the speedster aesthetic. News on the drivetrain that’s hitting the US is not available but it promises to have an athletic suspension and a more powerful engine.
Receiving a small dose of chemical X, the Active model is the Crossover edition of the Fiesta lineup, offering more space and practicality than you’d see from your average Crossover. The Active adds ample room to its cabin space, and the exterior features a coating that hugs the bottom of the Crossover from lip to rear and elegant roof rails all which sit on a raised suspension.
Wrapping up with the Vignale, it is slated to be the luxury edition of the family. Distinctive with stylish 18-inch alloy wheels, exclusive exterior detailing and paint colors. The interior includes detailed compartments and an 8-inch infotainment system along with posh hexagon quilted tuxedo style seats. What will really stand out on this model is the Vignale exclusive customer experience.
