Doug Martin found his inspiration from a billboard in Lima, Peru that converts humidity into drinking water. He realized that the condensation from a vehicle’s air conditioner could work similarly to preserve water. He worked with John Rollinger to create a prototype that collects, filters, and pumps the condensation to a faucet in the car for future use. Martin believes this idea can help people who don’t have easy access to water and people who are travelling as well as reduce waste from plastic water bottles.

Oleg Gusikhin, Omar Makke, and Jeff Yeung created a remote that lets passengers have control of various car settings. Ford SYNC allows passengers to synch with a smartphone without using Bluetooth. When using this device, the user presses an app that allows them to control radio and climate settings as well as other settings including a language translator.

Kilian Vas’s idea helps people during their urban commute. His creation, Carr-E, is a four-wheel pedestrian assistant that allows the owner to use during a commute that requires them to go by foot or bike. Carr-E is easily storable and can also carry heavy objects; the owner just needs to put the object on Carr-E and have it follow the owner’s electronic transmitter.
