The Ford Bronco is an iconic SUV. One of the first introduced in the United States for broad use, the original Ford Bronco was designed as a competitor to the International Harvester Scout, Jeep CJ-5, and Toyota Land Cruiser. The 1966 model of the Bronco was based on clean lines, simplicity, and functionality. This philosophy has served Ford well; the Built Ford Tough motto is evident in all of Ford's products. To celebrate this classic off-roader, Ford has introduced the Heritage Edition and Heritage Limited Edition for all of its Bronco and Bronco Sport models.

The Bronco two and four door Heritage Edition models will feature a two tone exterior paint-job as a callback to the original Bronco. The grille and hard top roof have also been painted in Oxford White. The Heritage Edition comes with 17 inch aluminum wheels, which have also been painted in Oxford White, while the grille features Race Red “FORD” lettering. The Heritage exterior has five paint color options, while the Heritage Limited Bronco only ships in Robin's Egg Blue, which is based on the original Bronco color of Arcadia Blue.

In terms of performance, the 2023 Bronco lives up to the history before it. Under the hood is a 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine, which produces up to 300 horsepower and 325 lb.-ft. torque. For the transmission, drivers have the option of either a 7-speed manual gearbox or 10-speed SelectShift automatic transmission. The Bronco Sport, while not available in the 1960s, can still be purchased with the Heritage edition stylistic changes. In terms of performance, the compact Bronco Sport is just as capable as its larger counterpart off-road. The car comes with a proven 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine that puts out 181 horsepower and 190 lb.-ft. of torque. Overall, the Bronco and Bronco Sport Heritage Editions are a love letter to the retro styling of the 1960s. For drivers that long for the way cars used to be, these are perfect picks.
