The much-lauded Ford Mustang Mach-E has been awarded another medal. The Car and Driver magazine 2021 "EV of the Year" recently won AAA's Best Overall Car of the Year for 2022. The automobile association gave special credit to the car's all new, dramatic and intense silhouette, its power, and spacious interior cabin.
It's easy to see why the car has received such acclaim. Available in both a standard-range 70.0-kWh battery or an extended-range 91.0-kWh pack, the Mach-E has plenty of range either way. Depending on the trim, the Mach-E is good for between 211 and 305 miles, depending on the battery pack and type of electric motors installed. The Mach-E is also highly efficient with its charge, as it is certified for 82MPGe combined, 88MPGe highway, and 75 MPGe in the city.
The SUV's performance is also highly impressive. Reaching 60 mph in a blinding 3.7 seconds and boasting 480 horsepower in the AWD models, it's clear that the dual motors in the Mach-E are more than capable of facing up to any other electric SUV.
The interior is beyond great as well. There is plenty of cargo room in the back and in the waterproof front trunk, which allows you to transport wet or messy objects like ice without fear. The Mustang Mach-E runs the software through a vertically mounted 15.5-inch touchscreen that controls interior functions like the customizable ambient interior lighting, heated front seats, and heated steering wheel. Additionally, through its connectivity with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a mobile Wi-Fi hotspot, and a Bang & Olufsen audio system, the digital display also controls all of the advanced entertainment features on the Mach-E.
This technology also extends to the Mach-E's safety features. Key safety features include: Forward-collision warning and automated emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert and lane-departure warning and lane-keeping assistance software. All of these safety mechanisms are on the cutting edge of today's cars and make sure that driving your car is easy and stress-free. Seeing all of this, it's easy to see why the Mach-E has so many accolades; it excels in every category.
