Since its inception in 2021, the Ford Mustang Mach-E has brought a unique American muscle flair to the electric car world. While other offerings are also plenty fast and sleek, the Mach-E brings iconic Ford Mustang design to this exciting new automotive area. Already lauded by Car and Driver as the 2021 Car of the Year, it made a huge splash upon its release, and is continuing to wow drivers.

For 2022, Ford has made a number of changes sure to impress buyers even more. Starting at an MSRP of $43,895, the base model is below the average new car starting price of $45,000, making it a solid value proposition, and reasonably affordable. Additionally, the Mach-E California Route 1 Model has a range of 314 miles when equipped with the extended battery and rear wheel drive. This model can alternatively be equipped with all wheel drive as well, and comes standard with heated seats and a heated steering wheel.

Several new aesthetic improvements are available as well. One exciting new option is the Premium Ice White Edition Appearance Package. Additionally, on the Mustang Mach-E GT and Mach-E GT Performance Edition, a black painted roof is standard. Considering paint color options, Grabber Blue Metallic and Cyber Orange Metallic Tri-Coat are now available on all models, and Iced Blue Silver Metallic is new for the 2022 model year.

The range is quite impressive as well. Distance driving has always been a concern with electric cars, but the Mustang Mach-E puts these concerns to rest, with 70 kWh usable energy on the standard range mode, and 91 kWh usable range on the extended range model.

As a complete package, the Mustang Mach-E is quite impressive. Featuring muscle car good looks, everyday crossover usability, electric car efficiency, and sports car performance, this is truly one of the defining models of the new electric car movement. For the environmentally conscious buyer that wants it all, this is the right car to choose.
