The 2022 Ford Escape is at the top of its game and its hotly contested segment. With competitors like the Honda CR-V, Jeep Cherokee, Mazda CX-5, and Toyota RAV4, the new Escape does everything right. With a spacious and comfortable cabin, availability of top-of-the-line technology and driver aids, and its refined drive. After a full redesign just a couple years ago making it better than ever before, the 2022 Escape is here to help you escape and take on your next big journey.

Available in four trim levels, deck out this SUV in the S, SE, SEL, or Titanium package. Most of these trims feature a turbocharged 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine that provides 181 horsepower and 190 lb-ft in torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Drivers can opt for the available, or standard with the Titanium trim, 2.5-liter hybrid powertrain. With a total of 200 system horsepower, the Escape’s hybrid powertrain drives its wheels using a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). For the thrill-seekers out there, the SEL and Titanium trim levels also offer an available turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that provides 250 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque.

Every Escape comes with a host of features to keep you and your loved ones safe and protected on the roads. With the base S trim alone, drivers can expect a few important and exciting elements. First, the Escape offers forward collision mitigation, which warns drivers of impending collisions and can even apply the brakes in necessary scenarios. Next, blind-spot monitor is a great standard feature that will alert drivers if a vehicle in the next lane is sitting in a blind spot, protecting everyone from an unwanted collision on the roads. Additionally, lane departure mitigation comes as standard, which will warn drivers of a lane departure when a turn signal isn’t used, and automatically will steer the car back into place to maintain the vehicle’s lane position.

While these features come standard, there are several options available for drivers who want an upgraded safety system. Drivers can opt for the Co-Pilot360 Assist+ package, which comes with adaptive cruise control, lane keeping system, evasive steering assist, and a navigation system. Or, for those living or driving in places where the weather can be quite tricky, the Cold Weather package is the perfect fit. With heated mirrors, remote engine start, automatic climate control, and a heated steering wheel and front seats, this package will keep passengers comfy and safe no matter what the weather. For those looking for added comfort, the Convenience package could be a good fit, featuring upgraded headlights, dual-zone automatic climate control, a power driver’s seat, and a rear armrest. Of course, we cannot forget the SE Sport Appearance package for those who can’t wait to turn heads on the road; the Appearance package features bold 19-inch black-painted wheels and Black exterior styling elements that are simply timeless in design.

Overall, the 2022 Escape offers a smooth ride like no other, easy-to-use controls, and a roomy interior with comfy cabin seating, fit for any amount of driving!
