The 12,000-pound winch – one of the standout features previously exclusive to the Ford Super Duty Tremor that astounded many truck lovers because of its ability to pull the Tremor out of any rough off-road spots – is now available for your very own properly equipped 2020 or newer Super Duty pickups.
The expanded availability of the Winch by Warn is Ford’s answer to the clamor of other Super Duty owners who wished they had the same for their trucks, as their work often involved the need for a winch.
Ron Meredith, Ford truck vehicle personalization planning manager affirmed that they made sure the winch meets the needs of all hardworking Super Duty customers. Capability and crash safety were also top requirements throughout its development.
Winch by Warn Features
The 12,000-pound winch features a lightweight synthetic line, and includes the only wireless remote in its class, along with a wired remote to give users control options. It also comes with a Ford Performance-branded hook strap and a flush fairlead. Abrasion-resistant synthetic cable and high-tensile strength should give you confidence that the winch will always get the job done.
It works with the optional 7.3-liter gas V8 or 6.7-liter Power Stroke V8 diesel-powered 2020. Newer 4x4 equipped F-350 and F-250 pickups with the available dual 397-amp alternators and dual batteries also support the winch.
Mounted behind the steel bumper, the fully integrated winch allows optimized air flow clearance, no matter what the engine option is.
The Winch by Warn is available as a factory-order option on properly equipped Ford Super Duty pickups for $3,000. If you’ve already purchased a truck, you can have the winch installed as accessory at a local Ford dealership for $3,000 MSRP plus labor.
