The all-new 2021 Ford Bronco is blowing its competition away and it's clear that the two- and four-door SUV is ready for adventure. Garnering international acclaim for its outstanding design, the new Bronco has earned the prestigious iF Design Gold award 2021.
Germany-based iF International Forum Design GmbH has selected Bronco among its top 75 pillars of design across several disciplines and industries. Out of nearly 10,000 entries, Bronco was selected in recognition of its elevated brand and outstanding design.
iF International Forum Design GmbH is a design group that has been annually recognizing products for design excellence since 1953. The design group is honoring the all-new Bronco with the esteemed award for its “pragmatic, emotional design” that “brings the thrill of its iconic forebear into the 2020s.”
Bronco chief designer, Paul Wraith, is thrilled to see the new Bronco come to life and be recognized for its refined design. “Our focus was getting our users out deep into the landscape exploring, which inspired some breakout product design,” said Wraith. “We’re excited that the innovations our team loved are the same things Bronco customers will love.”
And innovative it is. Ford designed each Bronco series around different types of adventure, so you can select the series that best fits you and your adventures, and then customize it further to truly make it your own. Its cool retro styling, innovative features, and impressive off-road capabilities make it a highly versatile option for those seeking adventure. An optional manual transmission is even available for those who applaud the nostalgic details in the styling. While the interior has a simple look, it is loaded with technology, keeping everything you need at your fingertips. The available 12.0-inch touchscreen and off-road performance app will keep you pushing forward on any adventure you may choose.
Wraith and the Bronco Design team created a modern off-road SUV while maintaining the design simplicity of a first-generation Bronco model. Some of the key details highlighted by the iF Design jurors included a single-piece grille, round headlamp bisected by a bar with the Bronco name, front fender trail sights, and redacted surface language featuring simple and natural styling and detail. The 2021 Bronco was able to bring back an icon while continuing to advance its efficiency and capability.
