Adventurers, racers, and car enthusiasts alike can bank on the thrilling upgrade to Ford’s already superior supercar for priceless experiences.

Just when you thought it had wowed the public enough with its sleek race-car design during its premiere in 2015, Ford decided to shine the spotlight once again on the GT 2020 by upgrading it with EVEN more power. But power doesn’t only mean improved acceleration—this upgrade is a total package that is sure to blow your mind, and the competition away.

Ford is changing your definition of a supercar, check out these stats:

  • Boosted horsepower
The GT 2020 has undergone continuous EcoBoost innovation. Its twin-turbo V-6 engine generates an additional 13 horsepower pumping it up from 647 to 660 HP. The engine calibration was also revised for a broader torque band, higher-energy ignition, and gallery-cooled pistons.

  • Improved engine cooling
To address cooling issues, new buttress ducts and larger intercoolers were added to increase airflow by 50 percent in order to keep things chillier. This will help preserve peak power for strenuous sessions. Moreover, suspension damping is increased in track mode to help improve handling and body control. This is especially helpful during sudden changes in direction.

  • New exhaust system
The premium Akrapovi? titanium exhaust has also been incorporated as standard equipment in the upgraded GT for a meaner, more resonant engine sound and 9-pounds of weight savings.

  • Unique fiber carbon weave
The GT 2020 boasts of a lightweight fiber carbon body that is free of paint color. Its unique weave matches panel to panel and wears nothing but a clear coat.

  • Iconic heritage livery updated
The other element to look out for in the 2020 GT update is a new design to the iconic heritage livery. It includes a black pinstripe to divide the blue and orange distinct colors. The carbon fiber number has also changed from 9 on the 2019 model to 6 for 2020, recalling the 1968-69 Le Mans-winning GT40. For the heritage model, the GT 2020 also features the very first incorporation of carbon fiber wheels in lieu of aluminum alloy.

The GT has been the pinnacle of Ford’s performance, innovation, and technological advancements. Deliveries are ongoing and production will be wrapped up by 2022.

Are you ready for speed? The high powered GT 2020 is the ultimate ticket.
