Focus enthusiasts have shaped the design of the new limited edition Ford Focus RS by their ideas, which they have posted within the online community. With only 1,500 going into production, Ford created a sporty Focus that satisfies every enthusiast’s desire. Delivery starting in late 2017, the 2018 Focus RS will release one-thousand models in the United States and five-hundred in Canada.

The interior is outfitted to keep the driver in full comfort while engaged in the driving experience. The Ford Focus RS is wrapped in carbon fiber skin from the door handles to the handbrake lever and turbo boost gauge. These are just a small portion of the interior update. The renovated Focus offers all black leather-trimmed RECAROâ seats with Miko-Dinamica eco-friendly suede microfiber inserts and RS logo. The heated front seats, heated starting wheel, and heated exterior mirrors are all ready to take on cold weather. Finally, there’s no need to take your eyes off the road when finding directions since the infotainment system features a voice-activated navigation system.

As far as the exterior goes — the Focus will come standard with 19-inch premium painted forged alloy wheel, that even have blue RS center caps. The body of the RS will be available in Race Red or the signature Nitrous Blue. Both color options will feature the sharp new glass black roof and mirror caps. The rear roof spoiler also comes in the glassy finish coupled with Blue RS logos on the side wings.

The gripping new performance specs of the RS bring out its full potential. The Qualife limited-slip differential allows for the RS to utterly utilize every ounce of high performance from the 2.3-liter EcoBoostâ engine. The 350 horsepower engine and limited-slip differential fuse together to furnish supreme traction. The Performance All-Wheel Drive senses and limits engine torque to the specific front wheel with reduced traction and casts the torque to the wheel with the most traction to reduce wheel spin. This monitoring system receives data 100 times per second, an average of 70% drive torque is sent to the rear axle. The RS will also feature Ford-first drift mode, which can be utilized for controlled oversteer drifts.

Joining alongside Ford's other exemplary performance vehicles, be sure to keep an eye out at a track near you for this limited-edition Ford Focus RS.
