The exterior has been designed to wring every ounce of fast out. With ultra efficient aerodynamics, the GT’s teardrop-shaped body helps slice through any air resistance. To help keep this puppy lightning fast, Ford has used a carbon fiber body for its rigidity and lightweight traits. The rear wing provides maximum aerodynamics even when not deployed, and the rear buttresses add strength to the chassis while guiding airflow to reduce drag and help with the downforce to improve handling.
Along with the thoughtfully and beautifully designed body, the Ford GT also has long suspension arms and an inboard damper packaging that can get impressive vehicle dynamics on the track. The exhaust remains iconic being placed in the midriff of the GT, which not only adds to the overall aesthetic, but augments diffuser performance and helps maintain airflow. Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes were also engineered for the GT to maintain handling performance.
