In preparation for the hotter days of the year, Ford has introduced the new SEL Sports Appearance Package for the 2018 Ford Edge. Adding some practical and stylish details this new package features a powerfully dark-accented exterior aesthetic including unique 10-Spoke 19-inch painted wheels, grille, mirror caps and rear spoiler in a stunning Magnetic Metallic color.
Revving with either a standard twin-scroll 2.0-liter EcoBoost or optional 3.5-liter Ti-VCT V6 engine the 2018 Ford Edge can easily accelerate up to 60 mph in a swift 5.6 seconds. The rest of the drivetrain includes a standard six-speed SelectShift automatic and paddle shifters on a forward wheel drive configuration. The Edge is also available as an all-wheel drive setup.
The shimmy inside involves premium leather alternative materials like Mayan Gray fabric seats paired with Umber-colored Miko suede cloth perforated inserts. This layout adds a layer of functionality for customers that live in hotter climates by providing a material that stays cooler and provides both luxury and comfort.
Tech features include SYNC 3 with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility, premium audio, rear camera and reverse sensing system. Additionally, a la carte features include a panoramic vista roof, black roof rack side rails, navigation, a blind spot monitoring system and a hands-free power liftgate.
The new polished look creates a welcomed energetic and sporty aesthetic for the 2018 Ford Edge that provides more choice to the customer. With a suggested price of $1,295 for the package, it will be available later this year.
