For 42 consecutive years, the Ford F-Series has been America's best-selling pickup truck lineup. Once again, Ford delivers the most capable and powerful heavy-duty pickup for its more hardworking customers — the all-new 2020 F-Series Super Duty.

"Ford truck customers are building a better world with Super Duty and we're helping them work even harder with the most available diesel towing, payload, torque, and power you can get in a heavy-duty pickup," said Mike Pruitt, Super Duty chief engineer. "We're excited to be in the nation's largest truck market at the State Fair of Texas announcing we've surpassed the kilotorque barrier and made it standard with every pickup truck featuring a Power Stroke diesel engine."

The 2020 F-Series Super Duty is constructed with a high-strength steel boxed frame and a high-strength, military-grade, aluminum-alloy body. Drivers can choose the available 7.3-liter gas V8 engine or the third-generation 6.7-liter Power Stroke diesel engine. An all-new 10-speed heavy-duty TorqShift automatic transmission is available with all engine options for an efficient and improved driving experience.

With six best-in-class heavy-duty pickup claims, the 2020 F-Series Super Duty is an icon of durability and capability. The maximum available towing capacity increases across the Super Duty lineup. When properly equipped, the F-450 could tow a trailer filled with 31 American quarter horses weighing 1,200 pounds each.

The Tremor Off-Road Package makes the 2020 Super Duty the most capable off-road Super Duty ever. Conventional trailers have a maximum towing of up to 15,000 pounds, while gooseneck trailers with the available diesel have a maximum towing of up to 21,900 pounds. The available 7.3-liter gas engine increases the maximum payload capacity by 4,210 pounds.

According to the Ford analysis of IHS Markit TIPNet U.S. registration data, between January 2017 and June 2019, the F-Series Super Duty holds the highest market share in demanding industries such as construction, emergency vehicles, and mining.

New technology helps enhance towing capabilities. The available class-exclusive Pro Trailer Backup Assist allows drivers to easily negotiate even the largest of trailers into the tightest of spaces with the turn of a dial. Instead of the steering wheel, drivers use a knob to maneuver the trailer with the help of the reverse camera. Trailer Reverse Guidances offers steering suggestions based on the trailer angle and direction.

The XLT and above trim levels come standard with Blind Spot Information System with Trailer Coverage, Lane-Keeping Alert, and Pre-Collision Assist with Emergency Braking. In the event of an accident, class-exclusive second-row seat belt pretensioners activate to help mitigate injuries.

The 2020 Ford F-Series Super Duty is assembled at the Kentucky Truck Plant in Louisville, Kentucky, and the Ohio Assembly Plant in Avon Lake, Ohio. Super Duty trucks will be available from dealers by the end of the year.
