As large SUVs continue to grow in demand across the U.S. market, Ford unveils two new Expedition trims to meet customer needs and expectations. The new 2020 Expedition King Ranch and Platinum model use new materials and high-end finishes to build on Ford's success.

"The King Ranch name carries with it a legacy of hard work that defines the American ranching lifestyle, with the heritage and family traditions Ford Expedition represents," said Andrew Kernahan, Expedition chief engineer. "It's a great addition to the lineup, growing Expedition's appeal and personality in Texas as well as with customers across the U.S. looking for western-inspired style and timeless design."

The 2020 Expedition King Ranch offers a sporty and unique style that can be found both inside and out. The grille mesh, power-deployable running boards, rear bumper skid plate, roof-rack side rails, trailer hitch cover, and side mirror caps are distinguished with Stone Gray paint. The lower bumpers feature the same Stone Gray paint, while the upper bumpers match the body color. To highlight the King Ranch's sporty design, 22-inch six-spoke painted machine-finished aluminum wheels are finished with dark tarnish-painted pockets. Distinctive King Ranch badging can be found on the body sides, liftgate, and wheel center caps.

Premium Del Rio leather extends the entire cabin from the door trim to all three rows of seats and more. The leather-wrapped steering wheel uses Kingsville stitching for added texture. A Ziricote wood veneer accents the Del Rio trimmed console, and all three rows of seats are emblazoned with the King Ranch "Running W" logo.

Platinum models are updated with 22-inch wheels and premium finishes. The interior is highlighted with leather along the instrument panel topper, the front door trim rollover, and the console rails. Leather-trimmed front- and second-row seats feature perforated seat inserts and quilted bolsters. Several intuitive technologies come standard on Platinum models, including Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist, an auto-dimming driver's side mirror, heated power-folding side-view mirrors with turn signal indicators, security approach lamps, and a 360-degree camera with split-view function.

Not only does the Expedition have extensive cargo carrying capacity and exceptional towing capability, but it's also loaded with more standard technology features. FordPass Connect with 4G LTW Wi-Fi hotspot for 10 mobile devices. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are compatible with the included Sync3 feature.

For the 2020 Expedition King Ranch model, several driver-assist technologies come standard with Ford Co-Pilot 360. Standard features include Blind Spot Information System with Cross-Traffic Alert, Dynamic Brake Support, Forward Collision Warning, Lane-Keep Assist, Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking, a rear backup camera, and auto high-beam headlights.

The 2020 Ford Expedition King Ranch model has a starting MSRP of $72,895.
