The all-new 2019 Ford Ranger is built for off-road adventures. The Ranger is derived from over 100 years of toughness, durability, and capability—providing best-in-class gas torque, payload, and towing capabilities.
The new 2019 Ranger is equipped with a standard 2.3-liter EcoBoost gas engine, producing 270 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. This engine-turning power paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission gives the Ranger a unique combination of power and capability for off-road adventures. A high-strength steel frame paired with solid rear axles and Hotchkiss suspension gives the Ranger optimal towing capabilities. With the tow package and trailer brake controller, the Ranger can tow up to 7,500 pounds and has 1,860 pounds of maximum payload.
Several driver-assist technologies are available with the new 2019 Ranger, including Auto Start-Stop technology. The rear-locking differential uses low speeds on low-traction surfaces to provide excellent off-road performance in mud, snow, gravel, sand, and even allows traction on steep or slippery surfaces such as boat ramps.
The FX4 Off-Road Package provides several features to enhance off-road driving. The Ranger is fitted with bash and skid plates to protect the undercarriage from damage while driving through rough terrain, as well as all-terrain tires meant for off-road driving. Drivers can monitor the pitch and roll of the truck as well as the steering angles of the front wheels via the status screen.
Production for the all-new Ranger begins later this year, but you can preorder one now and choose your trim level, color, wheels, and everything else to create your vision of the perfect pickup.
